Another year, never wiser. I don’t know when I’m going to start making wise decisions, like now, writing this instead of listening to an important tech meeting. Let’s see how my life is going, and I’m pledging to be 100% honest; maybe in this, something could help or comfort you. First off, career. It’s a big word, and all I know is that from childhood, I was happy and totally interested in subjects like English, social studies, and languages, with a little bit of biology. Trust me, I’m not saying this because of the reproduction chapter, although Latin names irritated me. But, you know what? I ended up choosing MPC; this is a joke—please feel free to laugh. Nothing changed, even now at 23—okay, now I’m officially 24. Do you know how I spent most of my time? While washing dishes, while doing any chores, my mind brings up a topic and keeps thinking about what lines to add to make this topic better so it can be presented effectively. My sister introduced me to one of her friends, saying, "This is my sister; she is a software engineer." I looked back to see who she was talking about, and then I realized it was me. Why, mind, why? We're getting paid for coding; why can't you think about how I can code this better? Instead, you always keep thinking about writing or speaking.
Now, let's talk about relationships and love. I feel it's just a path you need to travel when you find something pure. It's not compulsory. There are a lot of interesting things to do in life: write a book, make a short film, start a business, become a politician, start a travel vlog on a YouTube channel, or even become a monk or nun for some days to see life from a different perspective. And by God's grace, if you're physically, mentally, and financially fit, you can even adopt a baby. Imagine when you get old, you'll buy a cute little house in Mussoorie on the hills. In the cold weather, in front of your house, there will be a small coffee shop where you'll be selling coffee and biscuits. Songs will be playing in the background as you enjoy the weather and listen to the customers who are sitting on the bench, bantering. And then, one cold day, in your bed, you will die. This is also an awesome life. Don't you think so? Keep your options wide, my friend; life appears interesting.
Let's talk about the elephant in the room: money. My relationship with it has scars deeper than the Mariana Trench. Back when I was spending Dad's money, I never looked back. Now that I'm earning my own, every debit notification sends me into a full-blown panic attack. Forget spoiling myself, the thought of spending anything, even on my own happiness, triggers anxiety. This ain't a healthy relationship, and I know why. It boils down to one thing: confidence. I have this nagging doubt that I'll never earn enough. But hey, I'm here to change that! Remember, if you don't set your own price, someone else will, and it won't be pretty. Let's build a better relationship with money, one that's built on security, confidence, and a little bit of fun!
This is me, wanting to become a content creator. I'm naturally extroverted and outspoken. Sometimes you get claps, sometimes you get mean comments, and now I'm ready to take both. Disclaimer alert: These are my thoughts, my perspective on life at the age of 24. There is nothing more permanent than change. Maybe some thoughts can change, and when I read this at 25, I might laugh just like I do when I listen to my podcasts that I made at 21.
